POMegranate

March 29th, 2009 admin 3 comments

One of my favorite fruits is pomegranate. I wish they were available all season long.  They’re just so hard to peel…although I did learn on martha stewart an easier way to peel a pomegranate. Cut it in half and with a wooden spoon, hit the back of the fruit over a bowl and all the seeds fall out! I was at the market the other day and stumbled upon this!  I also watched on martha stewart how to make a POMtini.  She has a fancy, cool juicer….I really want a juicer like that!

I finally got to try it!  I had blogged about it a few months back and when J tried it and liked it…I knew I had to try it.  We went on a Saturday night in J-town around 10:30.  I thought there might be a line so we went a little early since it says via twitter they get there at 11pm.  There was a looooong line.  We waited close to an hour.  I got the short rib tacos…they were good but they weren’t fantastic.  King taco still reigns.  I think Sarah enjoyed it much more than I did.  I thought the sauce was too tangy, but I’ve been told I enjoy bland food.  It’s definitely worth a try.
