The Getty Restaurant

It was my buddy and neighbor sarah’s birthday a few weeks ago.  She turned the big 3-0!  We celebrated it by having brunch at the Getty Restaurant.  The views were very nice and the food was pretty good.  img_01011img_0100img_0103I had the kobe beef burger with lobster soup.  Our table got the last of it…they ran out!

So Gourmet

February 16th, 2009 admin 3 comments

My friend from college and I have so many memories together. We laugh at the silliest things and best of all we’re so comfortable with each other. Her and her husband are big foodies. They are such awesome cooks and I LOVE going over there house to eat! They totally live to eat and I love that about them. They totally go all out and so gourmet! So when it was my friends birthday, I was excited to find out her husband was having us over for dinner.  The hour and half drive was TOTALLY worth it.  I was so excited and busy eating, I forgot to take pictures. These are courtesy of the birthday girl. On the menu…..tomato & cucumber salad with red wine vinegrette on a hummus piadini.  Mustard’s “hanger steak” marinade with tri-tip and vegetable shish kabobs with a watercress sauce.  Garlic and rosemary roasted fingerling potatoes
and even homemade soup..tuscan whitebean with garlic basil olive oil! Dessert was a raspberry cake….I had food coma at the end as you can imagine.  Thanks for dinner!  I hope you had an awesome birthday!!  I love you A!img_0395img_3475img_3468img_0400img_3473img_3470img_3476img_3477

Baking Frenzy

February 12th, 2009 admin 5 comments

I love to bake….I love the precise measuring, the mixing, and the end product after you stick it in the oven.  So a little certain someone asked me to bake her some cookies and so I made cranberry oatmeal white chocolate chip cookies. After that, I got into the baking mode and decided I wanted to make brownies and then I had a large box of blueberries that I didn’t know what to do with so I decided to make a blueberry crumble. After all that butter, sugar, eggs and mixing…..img_0095img_00961img_00971
